An estate sale is a professionally managed liquidation of a person or estate's belongings. Estate sale professionals will inventory, price, and market contents to maximize value.  Sales are typically held over a weekend to sell the entire contents of a home. The goal is to sell everything!

Estate sales are needed for a variety of reasons. Some reasons include a death in which an estate needs settled, downsizing to a smaller home or if a loved one is moving into an assisted living facility, divorce, or relocating out of state. 

Not all estate sale companies are the same! Each will handle the process differently. We will  set up a time for a free consultation at the home. We will come talk to you about your story, your timeline, and your specific wishes for how you would like things handled. Each estate is a bit different so the process has to fit the estate. Once details and a date are agreed on then we take it from there. Depending on the size of the home we will let you know how many prep days we will need. Typically it's no less than 7 days, but for larger homes we would need more time. We will then bring in our tables and staging and we will start pulling everything out and reorganizing the house. We will price everything! We will advertise and promote the sale a variety of ways. Then we host the sale! A sale is typically a Saturday and Sunday, but for larger sales we can adjust to a multiphase sale! 

You only have one job! Anything you would like to keep from the home needs removed before a sale. You don't need to do anything else. We will come in and pull everything out of closets, drawers, cabinets, attics...you don't need to throw anything away. We will handle that. What you may think is worthless might actually be worth something! 

We bring a wealth of knowledge of what your items can be sold for. We also know how to merchandise your items for the best possible success. We're not emotionally attached to your items. Regardless of the situation for needing an estate sale, there is always some emotion involved. We will treat your story with the most respect while ensuring your things are sold in the most effective way possible for the most money possible.  

In the state of Illinois YES! The state of Illinois requires any person or company running an estate sale business must have an auction license. Fuller Estate Co. is a licensed auction company and has TWO licensed auctioneers. We are fully licensed and insured. Hiring an estate sale company with the proper credentials is as much for your protection as it is for ours.

We work off of a 40% gross sale fee. There is no upfront cost. We do not charge for our consultations. We discuss any possible fees during our consultation. Everything we discuss is included in our contract. 

Yes! After the sale is complete and the house is cleared we will provide you breakdown of the sale along with a check within 10 days. 

Ideally there isn't much left! Our goal is to sell it all! Depending on what is left we have a few options. This is something we can agree on during our consultation. We will make sure the house is cleared after the sale is over (typically the week following the sale is needed to clear any remaining items, but it varies with the size). Cleaning is NOT included...we will just make sure all the stuff is removed. If during the prep phase or after a sale is over a dumpster is needed we will coordinate that.

It's best if you're not there. We have found it is hard to watch us organize and price things your loved ones have collected over a lifetime. It tends to be even harder to watch those things find new homes. Please know we take each house on with a huge amount of respect for your stories and the history that goes along with it. 

We carefully research and price items based on current market demand, then stage them in a clean, organized, retail-style layout that encourages strong buyer interest. We essentially price things to sell! We will price things to get the most money for them while also making it attractive to buyers. 

We advertise in multiple ways. There are estate sale only sites we will promote on. We will also promote your sale on all of our social media sites. Leading up to the sale we will post pictures and videos daily. Fuller Estate Co signs will be strategically placed around the neighborhood in the days leading up to the sale to ensure maximum exposure. People will definitely know about the sale!
